Welcome to a whole new Canopy! CEO update 1 Dec

We’re excited to be launching our new Canopy website next week, which has been designed to deliver a better experience for growers and industry. This is a significant milestone for the Horizon Grower Enablement programme, which was approved by the Board in early 2023.

Thank you to all those growers and industry partners who have played an important role in the development of the site, by attending training workshops or giving feedback along the way. Your contributions have helped shape our new platform which will include an improved search function to help growers find exactly what they’re looking for more quickly.

We know how important timely and accurate information is to you, so you’ll also see a news feature and a resource library which houses research reports, articles and technical information, and you’ll be able to create favourites and follow topics of interest to stay up to date with the latest information. With the new site being mobile-friendly you’ll also be able to login from your home, office, orchard or packhouse.

Access to Spray Diary, Industry Portal, the Maturity Clearance System and other tools will be available from the homepage of the new Canopy portal. We’re still considering changes to these applications and tools as part of our future work on improving the grower experience, but for now we’ve made accessing them a lot easier.

New grower quality reporting will also be available through the Industry Portal. These reports have been developed to provide greater transparency about onshore and offshore fruit performance where Zespri has recorded assessment of fruit. This will help growers get a better understanding of how their fruit is performing throughout the supply chain.

We look forward to launching Canopy on Tuesday 5 December, and we will continue to seek feedback from the industry as we enhance the site into next year. If you have any questions or would like more information please email newcanopyproject@zespri.com.

Best regards,

Dan Mathieson
